The acerola is a tree native to the dry forests of South America, particularly in Peru, the Amazon, the Antilles, and Brazil.

Its fruits resemble the European cherry. Often considered superfoods, they stand out indeed for their particularly high content of vitamin C (between 10 and 40x more vitamin C than an orange, depending on the source).

Increasing demand for acerola has led some Brazilian farmers to use GMOs and numerous pesticides. Our acerola is certified 100% Organic by Bio.inspecta. This means that no harmful chemical treatment has been applied and that a strict control has been performed not only on the farm but also in Switzerland, so as to meet high safety and quality standards.
