A seaweed salad with exceptional virtues
To stop making a big deal of it and start appreciating seaweeds which have exceptional nutritional virtues, I suggest you discover the fisherman's salad (for my part I used the salad from Primeal, available in organic store).
This one contains three types of seaweeds from Brittany.
It is Dulse, Nori and Sea Lettuce.
Seaweeds have a great antioxidant power, they are rich in fiber and are alkalinizing… A little bit of base in this world of acids can only soften our cells.
In these seaweeds there is a good amount of iron, vitamin C, copper, folic acid, magnesium, potassium, calcium, iodine and even good fats...
Ingredients (for one person)
- 1/2 a bag of "fisherman's salad"
- 5 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of walnut oil
- ½ garlic clove
- ½ chopped shallot
- 1 tablespoon of shoyu
- 3 pickles
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar capers
- 1 lemon juice
- Pepper according to taste
Preparation
-
Put the seaweeds to rehydrate in a salad bowl with the olive oil, the shoyu and the lemon juice
-
Puree the pickles with the capers, the shallot and the garlic
-
Pour this puree over the seaweeds and add the remaining ingredients, then mix well
-
Let marinade in the refrigerator for minimum four hours and enjoy.
This seaweed salad can also be added to your usual salad or on your steamed vegetables; you can even incorporate it into your homemade sourdough bread...
